“Transfer Buzz: Tottenham Open to January Offers for 27-Year-Old Star Player”

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to cash in on Giovani Lo Celso in January.

Lo Celso is presently sidelined with a hamstring injury and has missed many games. The midfielder has only appeared once this season, in the Carabao Cup second round against Fulham last month.

Several Spanish newspapers, notably Fichajes and AS (via Sport Witness), have suggested in recent days that Real Betis is keeping a close check on the midfielder’s status ahead of the January transfer window.

The former even suggested that the 27-year-old had already made up his mind to leave Tottenham in the winter and despite attracting plenty of interest, was favouring a return to Betis.

Spurs could accept January offer for Gio Lo Celso

According to Football Insider, despite the fact that Lo Celso pleased Ange Postecoglou throughout pre-season, the North London club will listen to bids for the midfielder in January.

According to the article, Spurs believe that with the Argentine having just over 18 months left on his deal, the next transfer window would be the best moment to cash in on him.

Spurs Web Opinion

With Brennan Johnson (and perhaps even Dejan Kulusevski) being able to operate in the James Maddison role, I do not see Lo Celso getting much of a look in over the coming months. I expect both him and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to leave the club in January.
