“Tottenham’s January Transfer Target: ‘Strongly Interested’ and Ready to Seal the Deal with One Crucial Condition”

Tottenham Hotspur are’strongly interested’ in Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah and are’ready to buy him’ in January if he is not injured.

Calciomercato confirms this.Tottenham are said to be ready to battle with Roma for the Englishman’s signature.

They discuss Roma’s interest in the player today, as well as how the Italian club is attempting to secure a trade for the defender to improve Jose Mourinho’s team.

The plan is to repeat the trick they managed with Chris Smalling in 2019, signing a player out of the picture at a Premier League club, potentially on the cheap, and improving him.

The man they are targeting is Chalobah, who is increasingly on the margins at Chelsea and evaluating his options for the future.

He’s yet to feature this season due to injuries and Roma are looking to take advantage of that to try and get him on the cheap in January.

The ‘main problem’ is the competition from the Premier League and namely Tottenham, who are ‘strongly interested’ in the player and ‘would be ready to buy him’ in January if he isn’t injured.

They’re not the only side interested as West Ham, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all also thought to be keen and potentially eyeing up moves.

That all sounds rather fortunate for Chalobah, and therefore easy to doubt.
