To help Tottenham potentially contend for the Premier League title, Ange Postecoglou would like to add more forwards to his lineup in January. The Australian coach may make a move for a player he is familiar with.

Football Insider reports that because of Jota’s high salary, Sours are keeping an eye on his status at Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League and may sign the winger on loan in January.

The 24-year-old relocated to Saudi Arabia this summer, but since he isn’t even registered to play in the national league, he hasn’t participated in a league match since September 1st, and the club has already locked him out.

Because of his friendship with Postecoglou, this could result in the Portuguese star moving during the upcoming transfer window, with Tottenham being a possible destination.

The Australian manager, who was a star for the Hoops in Glasgow, was the one who brought Jota to Celtic. In 43 appearances played for the Scottish powerhouses in all competitions last season, the forward recorded 15 goals and 12 assists.

The source claims that if Jota moves, a loan agreement is most likely to occur because the 24-year-old is now making a substantial salary of about £200,000 per week in Saudi Arabia.

In case Postecoglou is truly interested in getting back together with his former player, Spurs will attempt to find a way around this figure but will undoubtedly not match it.
