“Spurs to Reconsider Tanganga Loan Amid Unchanged Situation”

Joe Lee

Tanganga left for the Bundesliga during the summer transfer window because Ange Postecoglou was ready to let him go.

The former England youth international signed a season-long loan with Bundesliga team Augsburg, with the option to extend the agreement till the following summer.

He hasn’t yet appeared for Augsburg in a competition, so his loan stint there isn’t going as planned.

He had a knee injury, but it seems doubtful that he will be able to replace Felix Uduokhai and Jeff Gouweleeuw in the starting lineup at this point.

Additionally, if his situation at Augsburg stays the same, the north Londoners may think about terminating his loan early, according to German magazine Kicker.

Tanganga is one of Augsburg’s five other center defenders, so it’s unclear if he will have an opportunity to make an impression on Jess Thorup.

Given the injury issue Spurs are currently facing, it is unclear if Postecoglou will opt to give Tanganga an opportunity by bringing him back from loan in January.
