Heung-Min Son and Mo Salah are two of the Premier League’s most productive players right now for their respective teams.

Today, Liverpool defeated Nottingham Forest with another goal from Salah. Son, on the other hand, scored Tottenham’s game-winning goal at Crystal Palace on Friday night.

Once more, the two players will compete for the golden boot.

Speaking on ESPN, former Red Steve Nicol also thinks Salah will win because he is less dependent on a single player.

Nicol spoke on YouTube on behalf of ESPN FC and brought up the topic of Son and Salah.

Furthermore, Nicol thinks that James Maddison’s injury could be crucial in any competition for the Golden Boot in terms of goals scored.

“You wonder where the supply is coming from for Son if something were to happen to Maddison. Since Salah gets his supplies from two or three sources, I say Salah and not Son,” Nicol remarked.

Salah and Son have both scored eight goals in the Premier League so far this season. The Liverpool player does, however, have the advantage overall because of two more goals in other tournaments.

Fighting it out once more

signing for £34m Salah and Son were the Golden Boot winners in the 21–22 season, and it appears that they will face off once more.

This season, both players appear to have returned to their peak performance level and are doing admirably.

This is very crucial for Tottenham and Liverpool. Both want to place among the top four and challenge Man City as hard as they can at the top.

Dreams and aspirations can come true if Son and Salah remain healthy throughout the season.
