With how well Tottenham Hotspur is playing in the Premier League right now, they could be champions in January with a few new additions.

It’s true that Tottenham needs a few more players to complete their roster, and it appears they will make another smart acquisition in January.

Speaking on the Men in Blazers Podcast, Fabrizio Romano claims that Spurs will attempt to make a move in January that is similar to the £50 million they spent on Brennan Johnson on the day of the transfer deadline.

According to Romano, Tottenham won’t necessarily be acquiring a household name in January; rather, it will be a wise addition that will support the team and Ange Postecoglou in their pursuit of success.

Spurs intend to pursue a signing similar to Brennan Johnson

Romano revealed his knowledge of the Spurs’ transfer intentions.

“I believe they’ll make an effort to act. In the same manner as they handled Brennan Johnson. Thus, not exactly household names, but a wise addition in January to support the team and the manager, stated Romano.

“Tottenham will take a critical look at the market once more. They are pleased with the state of affairs and don’t want to make any changes, but if they can find a clever solution—as they did with Brennan Johnson—that’s fine.”
