“Spurs’ 2024 Dream: West Ham Target Expresses Strong Desire to Join the Lilywhites”

According to 90Min, Jota might be on the move during the January transfer window.

Jota just joined Al Ittihad in July for a fee of £25 million from Celtic, but he is already surplus to needs in Saudi Arabia.

Jota now wants to sever his ties with Al Ittihad and depart for good, clearing the path for a return to Europe.

The Portuguese wideman won’t be eligible to play until January, but joining a new club and preparing for the second half of the season may be a good idea.

Premier League interest in Jota as Tottenham links continue

If Jota does decide to leave Al Ittihad, whether now or in January, he will not be short of admirers.

According to reports, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, and West Ham United are all interested in bringing Jota to England.

The most obvious link is to Tottenham Hotspur, and Spurs are said to be interested as well.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has worked with Jota at Celtic, and the current scenario in Saudi Arabia may open the door for a reunion in North London.

According to reports, Jota ‘would ideally love’ to join Tottenham and work with Postecoglou again, putting Spurs ahead of their Premier League opponents.

Tottenham may well need another winger in January

Jota would undoubtedly like to work with Postecoglou again after the Australian referred to him as a’special player’ during their time together in Glasgow.

Under Postecoglou, the 24-year-old scored 28 goals and had 26 assists in 83 appearances, establishing himself as a star and earning the transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Tottenham have suffered injuries to Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon, while Son Heung-min is playing as a striker this season.

That may imply there’s room for another winger in January, especially if Perisic leaves for Hajduk Split.

Given his ability to create magic and his grasp of Postecoglou’s system, Jota may be the ideal fit for Spurs.
