Amidst rumors that Bayern Munich is interested in the defender, Ronald Araujo has expressed his happiness at Barcelona.
It is believed that Barcelona is eager to extend Araujo’s contract in an effort to keep him on board, and it does not appear that he will require much persuasion to sign.
“Being able to lead Barça as captain is such an amazing opportunity.” He said, “I feel accountable and I am proud of myself.
“We are pleased that we achieved our first goal as a team and as a club, which was to make it to the round of 16.”
“We are happy that it was a crucial match, but we must move forward now. Though we are ready for the many challenges that lie ahead of us.
Given that Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Sergi Roberto were sidelined due to injuries, Araujo assumed the captain’s armband against Porto, and it must be said that it fit him well.
