Arsenal is prepared to make an offer of about £13 million in an attempt to beat out teams like Barcelona and Napoli for the signing of Arthur Vermeeren.

This is in line with a Tuttomercatoweb report that states Royal Antwerp is seeking to pay about £21.6 million for the 18-year-old, who has played every game this season.

Undoubtedly, one of the most gifted midfielders emerging in Europe at the moment seems to be Arthur Vermeeren. According to earlier reports from 90min, the teenager was being watched by teams including Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.

Additionally, it appears that the Gunners are prepared to pursue the young player before the January transfer window opens.

Arsenal is reportedly prepared to make a £13 million (€15 million) offer for Vermeeren, according to Tuttomercatoweb. Napoli and Barcelona are also keen in the meantime.

It seems that Antwerp’s demands for their extraordinarily gifted midfield player will far exceed what Arsenal could offer.

However, in the upcoming weeks, there might be room for a compromise to be reached.

Gunners have a right to consider additional support.

In January, Arsenal would be well advised to consider bolstering their midfield options. Declan Rice has improved greatly since moving. Thomas Partey, though, has had injury struggles.

Additionally, according to reports from TuttoJuve, Arsenal is prepared to sell Partey as they have grown weary of his injury issues.

As Arsenal looks to win the title once more this season, it would be asking a lot to expect Vermeeren to make an impact. However, it seems as though he has a very high ceiling.

In addition to participating in all five of Antwerp’s Champions League matches this year, he led the team during their loss to Porto.

Furthermore, he is currently a Belgium international, so whoever signs him is likely to have a very promising future.
