Spurs Web has provided you with a number of reports over the past two months that have increased the likelihood that Tottenham will make a move for Giménez in January.

The Mirror stated on October 29 that the Lilywhites are certain that the prolific Mexican is the best choice to fill Harry Kane’s shoes, which was the most assured of those assertions.

But last week, TEAMtalk disclosed that Mauricio Pochetitno had insisted that the Chelsea hierarchy sabotage Tottneham’s pursuit of the Feyenoord star.

Arsenal and Spurs are in the running for Santiago Gimenez.

Given that Gimenez is a target for Arsenal as well, it appears that Spurs may soon have competition from a different rival in London, according to L’Equipe.

Mikel Arteta has reportedly identified the 22-year-old as his top target and is eager to add a center-forward to his squad in January.

Ange Postecoglou’s team is rumored to have scouted Gimenez extensively, and the publication notes that the Gunners and Spurs will square off for the player. However, the report makes no mention of Chelsea’s interest in Gimenez.

The fact that Gimenez is still scoring goals for Feyenoord at an incredibly impressive rate may not come as a surprise, since the line to sign him is getting longer every day as the January transfer window approaches.
