According to Turkish-Football, Arsenal is interested in acquiring Kenan Yildiz, an attacking midfielder for Juventus, before the January transfer window opens.

The 18-year-old has been under observation by the Gunners for some time, and they have enquired about the cost of hiring him.

After leaving Bayern Munich in 2022, Yildiz joined Juventus, initially playing in Serie C alongside the Juventus Next Gen.

This season, he has made five appearances in Serie A and three appearances for Turkey. In a friendly last month, he scored in their 3-2 victory over his native Germany.

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, wants to bolster his team before the second half of the season, and Yildiz’s adaptability would help.

Liverpool is also keeping an eye on the teenage sensation, who can play in deeper roles in midfield, out wide on both wings, or as a number nine.

CalcioMercato reports that Jorg Schmadtke, the sporting director of the Reds, has been keeping an eye on him ever since he left Bayern. Additionally, Spanish sources state that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already given the go-ahead for the Anfield club to sign him.

Juventus has Yildiz under contract until 2027, and considering his enormous potential, they do not want to lose him anytime soon.

But given their financial situation, the Italian giants would entertain offers at the right price. In order to stand a chance of landing their target, Arsenal and Liverpool will still need to present a lucrative offer.

He will travel with the Turkish national team to Euro 2024, so a transfer to a team where he can begin playing more might be tempting.

The Gunners may offer him that chance because Arteta may need to make a move in order to improve their chances of winning the title.
