“Postecoglou Delighted with Tottenham Substitute’s ‘Elite’ Training”

Joe Lee

In remarks obtained by Football London, Postecoglou praised the goalie and emphasized that his demeanor sets an example for everyone else at Hotspur Way.

For Tottenham, Fraser Forster has turned out to be a very good acquisition. Naturally, there wasn’t much of a celebration when he took the step. However, he performed well each time he entered the side. When Forster had the chance to save against AC Milan in the Champions League, he really made a fantastic stop.

Fraser Forster is praised by Ange Postecoglou.

This season, he has served as Guglielmo Vicario’s backup. Tottenham did, however, choose to give Forster’s contract one another year.

Fans of the Spurs may not be overly excited about this announcement on social media. Ange Postecoglou, though, has hinted that his continued presence is certainly noteworthy.

We are happy to have signed Fraser for one additional year. According to Football London, he stated, “His training is at an elite level and he is a Premier League-standard keeper absolutely.”

“In most teams, the players who don’t play frequently are the ones that have an impact on the team’s atmosphere, but having someone like him sets a really high standard for the rest of the group. Having him on board for at least another year, and perhaps longer, makes me very happy.

Tottenham’s goalkeeper ranks looking strong

The goalkeeper position has been one of the only positions not to give Ange Postecoglou a headache so far this season. Of course, the Tottenham squad has been decimated by injuries in recent weeks.

But Vicario has been a revelation since his arrival in the summer. And Forster has shown that he can do a decent job whenever he is required.

Certainly, Forster appears to be helping push Vicario.

Tottenham were ready to move on from Hugo Lloris in the summer. Lloris’ form had been in a steady decline for a couple of years. And it just seemed that all parties needed a fresh start in the summer.

Nevertheless, Lloris has been an amazing servant for the club. And obviously, he was previously captain. So that transition could have been incredibly difficult.

However, Vicario is doing superbly. And Forster deserves credit for his part in helping Spurs move on from the Frenchman.
