“Manchester United’s Love Affair with their New Manager: Ready to Conquer All Rivals”

In the never-ending argument over Marcelo Bielsa, it appears that Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri has joined his list of fans.

That is, if his recent remarks to ESPN are any indication, with the winger evidently impressed with the Argentine’s early performance with Uruguay.

Pellistri is now a member of Uruguay’s team for the next international break, during which they will face Colombia and Brazil in World Cup qualification.

The game will be the latest test of how they are developing under the guidance of Bielsa, who was hired in the summer and has already led them to three wins from four, with their sole defeat a 2-1 loss to Ecuador last month.

Early signs have been positive under him, as he looks to shape the future of the side and focus on younger stars, such as Manchester United winger Pellistri over more established players.

The Manchester United man has so far featured in half of Bielsa’s games in charge and it seems is impressed by the plan put in place.

“We have been here for days to get used to the heat, which will be the same on both sides. We have to be prepared, well hydrated and ready for what is coming,” he said.

“Bielsa’s strongest idea is intensity, pressing high, having the team very close together, so that from the outside you can see a compact team, eager to win and go to pressure and play as equals on any court and against any rival.”
