“Jota Eager for January Tottenham Move”

Joe Lee

Spurs are reportedly interested in Jota, according to a story in The Sun. This past summer, the Portuguese winger signed a £25 million contract to join Al-Ittihad. He also really wants to sign with the North London team during the January transfer window. However, Ange Postecoglou hasn’t made the player his priority winter goal yet.

Jota: A Seductive Step Lost Their Pear Shape

Jota has had difficulty establishing himself since leaving Celtic to sign a £25 million contract with Al-Ittihad. After just two years in Scotland, the 24-year-old was among the finest players in the Scottish Premiership. However, the financially advantageous transfer to the Saudi Pro League has not proven successful thus far.

The Portuguese winger has only played in eight games for a total of 383 minutes, scoring one goal. Jota’s reputation has not diminished despite his inability to get traction at Al-Ittihad. A number of prominent Premier League teams are eager to sign the out-of-favor winger.

Jota’s services may be pursued by Celtic during the January transfer window, according to recent sources. However, Tottenham might be the player’s next stop; the North London team is reportedly making the most of his pursuit of him before the upcoming winter.

Ange Postecoglou and Jota to Reunite?

It makes sense that Tottenham would be interested in the 24-year-old Portuguese winger. After leaving Everton to join the North London team last year, Richarlison has had mixed results. The Brazilian international is also sidelined at the moment with a groin problem. Manor Solomon has a season-ending knee injury, which has him in the treatment room as well.

The unavailability of Richarlison and Solomon has significantly limited Ange Postecoglou’s options in the closing third. Tottenham might possibly pursue Jota, as the former Celtic winger is eager to sign with the North London team during the January transfer window. Postecoglou, though, is certain that he will make his former boss his priority winter objective.

Jota’s ambition to join Tottenham, however, is encouraging for the North London team. Whether the Portuguese winger receives his targeted winter transfer will be interesting to watch. If they sell the 24-year-old in January, Al-Ittihad may want for more money than the £25 million they spent this past summer.
