“James Maddison says that prior to the summer transfer, he had “never heard of” a Tottenham teammate.”

James Maddison has acknowledged that he was made to watch one of his Tottenham teammates’ “YouTube highlights” even though he had “never heard of” him.

Last summer, Spurs saw a lot of changes, chief among them the departure of legendary striker Harry Kane and the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as manager.

Although his team has lost ground in the title race due to a run of four games without a win, the Australian has started to bring the good times back to North London, and there is a strong sense that the team is headed in the right direction.

Maddison is arguably the best of Postecoglou’s nine acquisitions, and the club’s recent hiring spree has gone extremely well.

The midfielder from England, who cost £40 million to sign from relegated Leicester, had played in 11 Premier League games with three goals and five assists before suffering a serious ankle injury.

However, the 27-year-old has disclosed that prior to joining Tottenham, he was compelled to look up one of his new teammates. It turned out that Guglielmo Vicario, the goalkeeper, was the one, so he was probably not the only one.

We gave him a contract. Maddison said to Amazon Prime Video, “I had not clearly signed yet.”
