“Gerard Pique’s Fiery Dig at Real Madrid: Unearthing Barcelona’s Dominance with a Blistering Champions League Assertion!”

Pique is a true Barcelona supporter; he attended the La Masia academy before making his way into the starting lineup after a brief stint at Manchester United.

The Spain international made over 600 games for Barcelona and won three Champions Leagues before announcing his abrupt retirement in 2022.

Before winning a third under Luis Enrique during the 2014–15 treble-winning campaign, he won two with Pep Guardiola.

Since then, Real Madrid has won four times to amass an amazing 14 European Cups, and Barca hasn’t experienced European triumph.

Their most recent success was a 1-0 victory over Liverpool in Paris in 2022, but Pique has taken a strong stance against Los Blancos, arguing that nobody really remembers that win.

“We are in a country where there are more people from Madrid than from Barça and it is the capital, we will always be the ones who are on the side and try to bother,” he told RAC1, according to AS.

Due to rivalry, we don’t have to join these battles and forge our own path, but I would attempt to concentrate on who we are.

“The Madrid team of today is more of the same; they don’t communicate much, but they do produce results. In February, they will be competitive in all competitions, and we’ll see them in the Champions League.

“When we triumph, it leaves a lasting impression; when they do, it just makes one more. The final one, which was remarkable because they lost every round and nobody would recall it.

Pique has never shied away from publicly criticizing Real and has charged referees with showing partiality against them in the past.

Jude Bellingham’s brace helped Real defeat Barca in the first El Clasico of the season, but Girona leads both teams with 31 points from their first 12 games.

From the Spanish Super Cup, Gerard Pique made more money than Barcelona and Real Madrid did from their participation in the competition.

The La Liga and Copa del Rey champions would traditionally square off in a Super Cup match before the season began, but Pique, through his Kosmos company, helped arrange an agreement that saw the format changed.

Four teams have competed in the Super Cup from January 2020, up from the previous two, with three of the last four events being in Saudi Arabia.

Pique played a major role in arranging the terms of a six-year contract with Luis Rubiales, the head of the Spanish Football Association (RFEF).

SPORT reports that Saudi Arabia gave the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) €40 million, while the runners-up, Barcelona and Real, took home €2.8 million.

Valencia received €1.7 million, while Real Betis—the Copa del Rey winners from the previous season—was given €750,000.

With €23.7 million left in the pool after those deductions, €20 million will be dispersed among Spanish football, while Pique’s company received €4 million in commission.

The audio conversations between the retired former Spain and Barcelona defender and Rubiales from September 2019 were made public last year, putting Pique—who is pursuing ventures in the “Kings League” and Davis Cup—in the public eye.

He responded by denying any wrongdoing and asserting that his commission was “in line with the market” and “relatively normal”.

He stated on Twitch, “Everything we have done is legal. I want to show my face because I have nothing to hide. I’m going to expose my part in the conflict of interest.”

“I’m proud of the work that Kosmos does. Our goal was to improve the competition’s format and increase audience interest. That affects how much money you make. Luis Rubiales, the president, was rather fond of the,

However, in October it was reported that an “anti Pique clause” is poised to be introduced, banning any active player from having commercial links with a competition they may well participate in.

Barca beat Real 3-1 in the 2023 final to win the trophy for the first time since 2018.
