According to Sky Sport Italia, former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte is set to return to management, with Napoli interested in signing him.
Conte was fired by Tottenham seven months ago after an emotional outburst in which he attacked the club’s players, accusing them all of being selfish during a 3-3 draw at St Mary’s (ESPN).
Sport Mediaset (via VoceGiallorossa) suggested two weeks ago that AS Roma may turn to the 53-year-old to replace Jose Mourinho, but the rumour has gone down after the Giallorossi won three games in a row.
Napoli could make a move for Antonio Conte
Sky Italia have now claimed that Napoli could turn to Conte after their disappointing start to the season.
Rudi Garcia only took over from Luciano Spalletti this summer but the Frenchman’s position is allegedly being evaluated after the reigning Serie A champions have won just four of their first eight league games.
It is revealed that Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and other club officials held a meeting on Monday to discuss Garcia’s future, with the Partenopei said to be eyeing Conte as a potential replacement.

Even though Conte struggled to compete in the Premier League against the best managers in world football, he is still a very good manager, who organises his sides well and I have no doubt that he will do well in the Serie A when he returns to management.
