Spurs’ left back Due to his ongoing struggles with a muscular injury sustained against Fulham last month, Destiny Udogie has withdrawn from the Italy team.

Udogie, 20, was substituted during the 2-0 triumph against Cottagers and did not play in the subsequent game at Crystal Palace.

The left-back, who had hardly practiced in the lead-up, was sent out for two bookings in a trying performance when he rejoined the team for Spurs’ devastating 4-1 loss to Chelsea last Monday.

Subsequently, he was suspended and could not play in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Wolves; nevertheless, he has now withdrawn from Italy’s pivotal Euro 2024 qualifiers against North Macedonia and Ukraine.

Luciano Spalletti, the Italy coach, stated that his absence was due to an injury.

His absence from the Azzurri’s doubleheader makes him a potential doubt for Spurs’ November 26 home match against Aston Villa.

Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou is currently dealing with a growing injury crisis because of players like Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic,

Spurs played a makeshift defence at Molineux, with Ben Davies and Eric Dier starting in the middle and Emerson Royal filling in for Udogie at left-back.
