That’s according to Romagiallorossa, an Italian publication that claims Mourinho wants to bolster Roma’s defense options by bringing in either Jakub Kiwior or Eric Dier.

After completing a £20 million transfer from Spezia Calcio to North London in January, Kiwior has battled for the past few minutes.

Although the 23-year-old had a brief stint in the starting lineup during the close of the last campaign, Gabriel Magalhaes has primarily used him as a backup.

Sevilla was reportedly interested in signing Kiwior, a center-back, but Mikel Arteta allegedly prevented him from leaving the team during the summer.

In the January transfer season, Roma appears prepared to challenge Arsenal’s commitment, though, as Jose Mourinho considers a move for Kiwior.

Kiwior has been urged to join Roma by Mourinho.

According to Romagiallorossa, Mourinho has requested that Eric Dier or Kiwior from Tottenham be signed by Roma.

While Kiwir has been praised as a “very fast” defender and appears to have the necessary skills to succeed in England, it will be difficult for the Poland international to break into Arteta’s squad. It has been reported that Tiago Pinto, Roma’s sporting director, is searching for the “cheapest” signing due to Roma’s financial difficulties.

William Saliba and Gabriel make a fantastic team, and Arteta has found them to be a constant this season.

It’s unlikely that Kiwior would force his way into the Arsenal starting lineup, barring an injury to one of the players.

However, selling Kiwior in the midst of the season would put the Gunners at great risk because it would leave Arteta with little choices at center defense.

According to reports, Arteta has made the decision to hold onto Kiwior and will not entertain any offers for the center back in January, thus eliminating any chance of a move to Rome.
