“Barcelona’s High-Stakes Gamble: Star Trio’s Race Against Time for Real Madrid Showdown – Exclusive Report”

Joe Lee

FC Barcelona are poised to begin their UEFA Champions League journey tomorrow night under extremely difficult circumstances. The Catalans have been plagued with injuries in this early portion of the season and will have to go in this encounter against Shakhtar Donetsk with a very thin team.

The game itself will be crucial for the Catalan giants. Having been kept from the Champions League knockout stages since the 2020/21 season, Xavi’s men will be determined to take away all three points from this clash.

In terms of personnel, however, Barcelona have had to make changes. The injured stars remain absent, with Pedri being a particularly unfortunate exclusion. Moreover, Gavi is also absent due to his sending off from the last outing against Porto on Matchday two.

In their stead, eight players from the B list make an appearance. Marc Guiu also returns, having successfully been registered for the European stage.
