Ansu Fati, a Barcelona prodigy, had a great season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, but it was cut short by a fresh muscle injury.

The youthful player, who is only 21 years old, will miss three months of activity due to a hamstring injury, which will be another blow to his already struggling career.

Fati joined Brighton after having trouble getting into the starting lineup at Barça the previous season. Before his injury, he had scored four goals in 14 appearances.

Saudi Arabia’s interest is still present.

Ansu Fati was reportedly drawing substantial interest from Saudi Arabian teams for the summer of 2024 prior to the injury.

The 21-year-old Barcelona loanee is still very much on the market, according to SPORT, and the Saudi Arabian League views him as a strategic investment for the summer of 2024. This is despite his most recent injury.

As long as Ansu approves of a move away, the Middle Eastern teams have already informed Fati’s entourage that they are fully interested in signing him for the summer.

Saudi Arabian efforts to acquire Ansu are not novel. Two clubs have already reached out to his entourage this summer in an attempt to persuade him to leave Barça, but the player has steadfastly refused.

Fati desired to either take a chance at Barcelona or join a Premier League team where he thought he could be a key player. As a result, he denied Wolves in favor of Brighton at Roberto De Zerbi’s request.

According to the story, Fati has always wished to stay in touch with Barcelona because his goal has always been to become a successful Blaugrana, something that his health issues have kept him from doing thus far.

That is why he only agreed to go on loan, with his contract at the club running until the summer of 2027.

Fati was convinced that he could get back to his best at Brighton to have a chance of a comeback, but this untimely injury will leave him out of a very decisive part of the season.

Barça have reassured Ansu. They want him to recover as well as possible and in the summer they will tackle his future. It is not the time to put pressure on anyone or make any decisions, but the Blaugrana are clear about its roadmap and this involves a definitive transfer of the player.
