Following Gavi’s ACL tear while serving for his country, Barcelona great Carles Puyol gave the adolescent some advice.
Gavi is scheduled to have surgery in the near future, and while he heals, he might miss the better part of a year.
Now that he’s given Gavi some guidance, Puyol has advised him to take his time recovering and not to rush back.
“It is best to exercise patience rather than hurry. I made a costly mistake because I rushed. I am familiar with the topic at hand.
I’m wishing you many success. I have no doubt that he’ll get back to where he was. He needs to be composed, diligent, and very patient.
Not just Puyol, but other former players have advised Gavi not to hurry. Additionally, Gerard Pique has urged Gavi to exercise patience—even if it means sitting out 10 months.
