Despite Fabio Vieira’s late red card for a risky tackle, Mikel Arteta’s team defeated the Clarets with goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Prior to the international break, the Gunners are in third place in the Premier League standings, one point behind leaders City, who defeated Chelsea 4–4 at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal will compete with Newcastle United off the field in an attempt to attract a Bundesliga player.

Julian Brandt of Borussia Dortmund is being watched by both the Gunners and the Magpies, according to The Mirror.

Both Premier League teams are reportedly interested in the 27-year-old, who is versatile enough to play a number of attacking roles.

Last week, Dortmund overcame Newcastle 2-0 in the Champions League thanks in large part to a goal from Brandt, and it seems that his performance was appreciated.

The German, who has 45 senior international caps for his nation, moved to Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen, another Bundesliga team, back in 2019.

He has now played in 185 games in all competitions, tallying 36 goals and dishing out 39 assists.

Liverpool is rumored to be a longtime fan of the German, but because of the player’s significance at his current club, Dortmund has not yet expressed interest in the player.

With a contract extension until 2026, the German team is quite unlikely to let Brandt depart the team in January.
