Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has announced that Brennan Johnson would not be available for their Premier League match against Luton Town, and has also verified Manor Solomon’s injury.

Johnson missed the Liverpool game due to an injury that the manager described as minor, but he’s confessed he might not be fit for today while describing Manor Solomon’s condition as “not ideal” after he sustained a knee injury in training.

“Manor Solomon unfortunately during training got a significant injury to his knee, he’ll miss some significant game time over the next few months,” Postecoglou told reporters before of the Luton encounter. That’s unfortunate since he was already contributing to us and settling into his job.

“With Ivan Perisic already out, losing a player in that position isn’t ideal.” Brennan Johnson is close, but he’s not quite there yet, and with the international break, we’re hoping he’ll have the time during that to be ready right away.”

There were concerns over the availability of captain Son Hueng-min, who was pulled 20 minutes before the game against Liverpool. However, the management indicated that the South Korean was OK and that he will be involved.

“Sonny’s fine,” he said. He worked out fine the previous two days.”

Tottenham will go top of the Premier League table momentarily if they can win against newly promoted side Luton with Manchester City not in action until Sunday when they take on Arsenal. If results go their way, they might go into the international break at the top of the pile.
