Ange Postecoglou’s decision to sign Hugo Lloris at Tottenham raises concerns about Fraser Forster.

It’s time for the newest edition of Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, which is now accessible as a podcast as well as on YouTube.

When it came to Tottenham’s confirmed 25-man roster for the first half of the 2023/24 Premier League season, there was arguably only one talking point. Hugo Lloris was initially ruled out after expressing his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but after failing to obtain a summer transfer, the Frenchman was selected one of the 25 players.

As a result, Lloris’ position in the pecking order has been called into doubt. The same is true for current second-choice custodian Fraser Forster, who may potentially leapfrog him given that he will stay a Tottenham player for the time being.

Some supporters were also concerned about Eric Dier’s presence in the Tottenham squad, even though it was always obvious that he would be registered as a Spurs player for the season despite failing to make a matchday squad in their first five games. Tottenham, who are now short at center-back following the departure of Davinson Sanchez, will need to address the issue in January.

In the newest episode of their Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast, our Tottenham journalists Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest cover all of the above, as well as the upcoming arrival of Croatian teenager Luka Vuskovic. This week’s schedule also includes Postecoglou’s talkSPORT interview, Richarlison’s revelation on international duty that he will seek psychiatric assistance, and Rodrigo Bentancur’s return to training.

Finally, the pair discuss Saturday’s Premier League match against Sheffield United, in which the Lilywhites are aiming for a fourth consecutive league victory.
