After his incredible goal in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Everton, Alejandro Garnacho’s manager Erik ten Hag of Manchester United stated that the young player has the potential to accomplish “some amazing things,” but he should not be compared to Wayne Rooney or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Three minutes in, a teenage Garnacho calmed a heated Goodison Park with an overhead finish that could be a contender for goal of the season.

I do not think it is appropriate to compare. Ten Hag stated at halftime, “Everyone [the players] has their own identity.”

He added that if Garnacho puts in enough effort, he could be “amazing.”
